Students to Experience Career Opportunities at Central Minnesota Career Event
St. Cloud’s Nuss Truck & Equipment to participate in EPIC 2019
“Exploring Potential Interests & Careers” for high school students

St. Cloud, MN – On Friday, February 22, 2019, more than 2,500 students from over 20 schools will gather on the campus of the St. Cloud Technical and Community College in St. Cloud, MN, to participate in EPIC 2019 (Exploring Potential Careers & Interests), the first ever large-scale career exploration event for high school students in Central Minnesota. Nuss Truck & Equipment is committed to supporting education and proud to be a part of this event.
This event is designed to effectively bridge the gap between education and industry for high school students in Central Minnesota, contributing to the fulfillment of the economic and workforce needs of the area. The unique format of the event allows students to participate in hands-on, interactive experiences that simulate activities from a variety of careers. Students will also learn the educational requirements and potential job market forecast of each career.
Students who visit the Nuss booth will learn about the wide range of career opportunities, from technology jobs to diesel technician jobs in the transportation and construction industries.
The Nuss booth attractions will include:
• Heavy-duty trucks and equipment on display include the Mack Granite Dump Truck, Volvo A45G Hauler, and Volvo EC140EL Excavator
• Live demonstrations of telematics solutions
• Experience the driver’s seat of a Volvo Excavator
• Collect free Mack and Volvo trading cards
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-event survey, designed to help them discover the top career clusters best suited to their interests and personalities. After the event, students can participate in a reflection activity constructed to immediately implement their experience and begin the creative brainstorming process about potential careers.
