The U.S. Department of Labor honored American Truck Dealers member Bob Nuss with the HIRE Vets 2022 Platinum Medallion Award, recognizing him for his commitment to the employment and professional development of U.S. military veterans.
The award was created as part of the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans Act, which was signed in 2017. This is the first year of the award’s full implementation with recipients evaluated on a range of criteria including veteran hiring and retention, availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, and compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.
