Powering the parking cooler is a combination of starting batteries and four AGM deep cycle batteries, which can keep the sleeper cabin at 74°F for up to 10 hours. Smart energy management software safeguards against draining the starting batteries, ensuring reliability and performance.
The parking cooler is operated by an automatic thermostat that regulates both air conditioning and heating (with the optional cab parking heater), allowing drivers to set their ideal temperature for optimal comfort. It’s fully integrated into the sleeper ductwork and easily accessible for maintenance, adding convenience to Volvo’s renowned efficiency.
Factory-installed at Volvo’s New River Valley plant, the parking cooler is available on several Volvo sleeper models and comes with a three-year warranty, further solidifying Volvo’s commitment to quality and innovation.
